As it prepares to celebrate its 39th Founding Anniversary this July 28, the Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) continues to prove that its commitment extends far beyond providing safe and reliable water, it also means nurturing healthier and safer communities for the next generation.
As part of its Gender and Development (GAD) Program, DCWD donated hand-washing facilities to Bonuan Boquig Elementary School and Malued Elementary School on July 1, 2026, reinforcing the importance of proper hygiene among young learners. The initiative also supports Dagupan being a child-friendly City and aligns with the Local Government Unit’s Secure and Abuse-Free Environment (SAFENET) Campaign led by Hon. Mayor Belen T. Fernandez.
The meaningful undertaking was made possible through the unwavering support of the DCWD Board of Directors, headed by Chairperson Arlene Sanchez, whose leadership continues to champion programs that create lasting and meaningful impacts in the community.
More than a simple donation, the hand-washing facilities symbolize DCWD’s commitment to safeguarding children’s health, promoting sanitation, and encouraging lifelong hygiene practices one school, one child, and one community at a time.
