The Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) quietly marked its 38th founding anniversary with a simple and solemn celebration held on August 20, 2025. Guided by the theme “Steady Supply, Steadfast Service,” the occasion highlighted the agency’s steadfast commitment to public service and solidarity with the community.
In lieu of a grand festivity, DCWD chose to channel its anniversary funds to support the initiative of Hon. City Mayor Belen T. Fernandez in extending assistance to residents affected by recent calamities in Dagupan City.
The event opened with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Allan Abuan, followed by a modest sharing of meals and a discussion of the agency’s accomplishments for the past year, along with plans for the future. General Manager Gretchen G. Buena greeted and warmly welcomed the guests and acknowledged the dedication and passion of DCWD employees, whose service remains the backbone of the agency’s continuing success.
The event was graced by the supportive DCWD Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Arlene G. Sanchez, together with Vice-Chairperson Adelfo B. Valle, Director January E. Ragudo, and Director Feliza Arzadon-Sua. Also present were partners from the Commission on Audit (COA), headed by Audit Team Leader Julie Honsayco.
By keeping its celebration solemn yet meaningful, DCWD reaffirmed its enduring mission of providing a steady water supply and steadfast service while standing in solidarity with the people of Dagupan.
