In celebration of its 38th anniversary, the Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) chose a meaningful and compassionate way to live out its theme, “Steady Supply, Steadfast Service.” Instead of hosting grand festivities, DCWD redirected its resources to support the Dagupan City Local Government Unit’s “Bayanihan sa Panahon ng Pagsubok Relief Operations”, extending help to residents affected by recent typhoons.
Inspired by the call of Hon. Mayor Belen T. Fernandez to extend relief to those in need and with the unwavering support of the DCWD Board of Directors led by Chairperson Arlene Sanchez, DCWD, under the leadership of General Manager Gretchen G. Buena, coordinated with the City Government and donated sacks of rice to families who endured flooding and heavy rains in the past month.
On August 11, 2025, the donations were formally turned over to the Acting Mayor Brian Kua. This gesture marks the beginning of DCWD’s deeper involvement in community relief efforts, reinforcing its commitment not only to delivering a steady water supply but also to standing in solidarity with the people of Dagupan in times of hardship.
