The Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) continues to closely monitor the work accomplishments of its Joint Venture partner, Pamana Water Corporation (PAMANA), particularly the installation of fire hydrants pursuant to Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 8319-2025.
Fire hydrants have already been installed in the Central Business District and the Riverside-Arellano, Bolosan-Tambac areas. Meanwhile, the installation of fire hydrants and pipelaying in the vicinity of the old dumpsite in Bonuan Gueset is scheduled for implementation soon. This initiative, made possible through the leadership of Mayor Belen Fernandez and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dagupan City, aims to strengthen the city’s fire safety measures and water infrastructure.
In addition, DCWD actively participates in the monthly collection of water samples for bacteriological testing in coordination with PAMANA to ensure that the water supply consistently meets the 2017 Philippine National Drinking Water Standards. DCWD also monitors the temporary interconnection for bridge crossing at Barangay Pogo Grande to maintain water service reliability amid ongoing infrastructure works.
DCWD is likewise overseeing the ongoing pipe replacement along Bani, Arellano, in line with the planned road elevation works to ensure a steady water supply despite construction activities.
Under the leadership of General Manager Gretchen Buena and the guidance of the Board of Directors chaired by Dr. Arlene Sanchez, DCWD remains committed to reviewing and evaluating Pamana’s performance to ensure compliance with the service obligations outlined in the Joint Venture Agreement.
