In a significant move to enhance water supply and reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW), the Joint Venture between DCWD and PAMANA has officially launched a series of pipeline replacement projects.
On September 18, 2024, the initiative kicked off its goal of replacing aging infrastructure that has been contributing to water loss. The newly implemented projects include the replacement of 100mmØ PVC pipes along Gomez, as well as various sizes—150mmØ, 100mmØ, 75mmØ, and 50mmØ—along Pantal Road. Additionally, replacements of 100mmØ and 75mmØ pipes are set to occur in the Amado area of Tapuac District.
In total, the initiative aims to replace 2,615 meters of outdated piping, directly addressing the issues of water leakage and inefficiency. These upgrades are crucial for improving water supply and pressure, particularly in densely populated and commercial areas of Dagupan City. By mitigating NRW, the projects not only promise to enhance service delivery but also contribute to sustainable water management practices in the City.
