The Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community engagement and local tourism by actively participating in the 2026 Bangus Festival, one of the city’s most anticipated annual celebrations. Highlighting this year’s festivities were the vibrant “Kalutan ed Dalan” and the high-energy Bangusan Street Party, where DCWD joined fellow stakeholders in showcasing unity, culture, and civic pride.
This annual involvement aligns with DCWD’s continued support for Dagupan City’s tourism efforts under the leadership of City Mayor Hon. Belen T. Fernandez. By participating in events that highlight local identity and economic vitality, DCWD contributes to broader community development goals while strengthening its institutional visibility.
Beyond public engagement, the festival also served as a meaningful team-building opportunity for DCWD personnel. Employees from various Divisions collaborated in preparations and activities, reinforcing teamwork, communication, and shared purpose. Such experiences help cultivate a cohesive organizational culture that translates into improved service to the public.
The success of DCWD’s participation was made possible through the strong backing of its leadership. The Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Arlene Sanchez, provided strategic support, while General Manager Gretchen Buena ensured operational coordination and active involvement from the workforce.
As the Bangus Festival continues to grow in scale and significance, DCWD remains a steadfast partner in celebrating Dagupan City’s heritage. Through initiatives like these, the agency not only supports tourism but also reinforces its commitment to community connection, organizational unity, and public service excellence.
