Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) is painting Fridays in March purple to honor the strength and capability of women. In celebration of National Women’s Month, all female employees are proudly wearing purple shirts adorned with the theme provided by the Philippine Commission on Women: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan Patutunayan.”
This initiative, fully supported by the Board of Directors, underscores DCWD’s commitment to gender equality and the recognition of women’s indispensable role in society.
The dynamic leadership of General Manager (GM) Rizaldy T. Mandap has paved the way for this celebration, emphasizing the District’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment as one of its Gender And Development (GAD) programs.
This activity implemented by the DCWD GAD Focal Point System lead by Mr. Jason G. Estrada expressed pride in supporting National Women’s Month, emphasizing that it is crucial to recognize and empower women as valuable agents of change and progress.
DCWD’s commitment to the well-being of its female employees is further demonstrated by the distribution of hygiene packs as part of the celebration.
The District’s participation in National Women’s Month exemplifies its ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and empower women in the workplace and beyond. Through initiatives like these, DCWD aims to create a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
