Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) celebrated World Water Day on March 22, 2024, with a meaningful theme: “Harmony in Hydration: Commemorating World Water Day with ‘Water for Peace’ Campaign and Customer Appreciation.”
The event, part of DCWD’s Gender and Development (GAD) program for the year, was made possible through the support of the DCWD Board of Directors (BOD) and DCWD General Manager Rizaldy T. Mandap’s encouragement to implement an activity that emphasizes gratitude to the concessionaires.
One of the key highlights of the celebration was the Customer Appreciation activity, where the first 100 customers at each collection office, located at Tambac, Herrero-Perez and near the City Hall, who paid or settled their water bill, or applied for new service connection or reconnection, received special mugs and pocket calendars.
This gesture was a token of gratitude from DCWD to its loyal customers for their continued support and cooperation. The event not only aimed to celebrate World Water Day but also to educate the community about the value of water and the need to conserve this precious resource.
Through initiatives like the ‘Water for Peace’ campaign and Customer Appreciation activity, DCWD hopes to inspire individuals to take action in preserving water for future generations.
Overall, DCWD’s celebration of World Water Day was a resounding success, with the community coming together to promote water conservation and appreciation. Events like these serve as a reminder of the importance of water in our daily lives and the need to protect this vital resource for a sustainable future.
