On October 4, 2024, Mr. Jayson Neil L. De Luna (Senior Ecosystems Management Specialist) and Mr. Geraldo P. Ganir (Technical Support Staff), conducted an important visit to the DCWD office in Tambac, Dagupan City. The purpose of their visit was to review the permits and licenses of the DCWD-PAMANA Joint Venture (JV) pumping stations, as required by National Water Resources Board (NWRB), and to update the DCWD-PAMANA JV’s data in line with its groundwater sources while assessing regulatory compliance.
The discussions involved key personnel, including the DENR employees, DCWD General Manager (GM) Gretchen G. Buena and DCWD Principal Engineer Kurt Eddison M. Claveria.
It was emphasized during the meeting that DCWD’s efforts extend beyond providing sufficient and quality water supply to actively protecting vital water resources, with the help and guidance from DENR and other government regulatory bodies.
This collaborative effort underscores the importance of regulatory compliance in ensuring sustainable water management and reflects DCWD’s dedication to fostering a responsible and environmentally conscious approach to its operations.
The visit represents a proactive step toward maintaining high standards in water resource management in the region.
